Academic Research Portal - No Refunds After Payment

IMPORTANT: All payments made to Academic Research Portal are FINAL and NON-REFUNDABLE. By completing a payment on our platform, you acknowledge and agree that you are not entitled to a refund under any circumstances, except as explicitly provided in this policy.

1. General Refund Policy

Academic Research Portal operates on a no-refund basis for all payments made for publication services, including but not limited to:

  • Publication Fees: Charges for paper processing, review, and publication
  • Membership Fees: Subscription charges for premium accounts
  • Service Fees: Charges for additional services like expedited review
  • Download Fees: Payments made to access premium content
  • Submission Fees: Non-refundable processing fees for paper submissions
Once payment is confirmed, it cannot be reversed, refunded, or credited

This policy applies regardless of whether your paper is accepted, rejected, or withdrawn.

2. Why We Don't Offer Refunds

Our no-refund policy is based on the nature of our services:

Immediate Resource Allocation

Upon payment, we immediately assign editors, reviewers, and system resources to your submission.

Reviewer Compensation

Reviewers are compensated for their time and expertise regardless of the outcome.

Processing Costs

Administrative and technical costs are incurred immediately upon submission.

Quality Assurance

Our quality checks and plagiarism screening begin immediately after payment.

3. Exceptional Circumstances

While we maintain a strict no-refund policy, the following exceptional circumstances may be considered on a case-by-case basis:

Duplicate Payment

If you accidentally paid twice for the same service, we may credit the duplicate amount to your account for future use.

Technical Error

If a technical error on our platform resulted in an incorrect charge, we will investigate and may issue a credit.

Paper Rejection

Papers may be rejected after review. The publication fee covers the review process, not the outcome.

Author Withdrawal

If you withdraw your paper after submission, the fee remains non-refundable as resources were already allocated.

Change of Mind

Deciding not to publish or use our services after payment does not qualify for a refund.

4. Payment Methods and Processing

We accept the following payment methods, all subject to the same no-refund policy:

Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover

PayPal

Secure PayPal transactions

Bank Transfer

Direct bank transfers and wire payments

Cryptocurrency

Bitcoin, Ethereum, and selected cryptocurrencies

Note: Payment processing fees charged by third-party providers are also non-refundable and will be deducted from any credits issued.

5. Chargebacks and Disputes

Initiating a chargeback or payment dispute with your bank or payment provider will result in:

  1. Immediate Account Suspension: Your account will be temporarily suspended pending investigation.
  2. Paper Withdrawal: Any pending papers will be withdrawn from the review process.
  3. Publication Reversal: Published papers may be temporarily removed from public view.
  4. Legal Action: We reserve the right to pursue legal action to recover unpaid fees plus collection costs.
  5. Permanent Ban: Users who initiate fraudulent chargebacks will be permanently banned from our platform.
Legal Notice: Filing a fraudulent chargeback is a form of theft and may be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.

6. Payment Confirmation and Receipts

Upon successful payment, you will receive:

  • Instant email confirmation with payment details
  • Digital receipt for your records
  • Invoice in your account dashboard
  • Confirmation of service activation

Please retain these records for your reference. If you do not receive confirmation within 24 hours, contact our billing department immediately.

7. Dispute Resolution

If you believe a charge was made in error or you have questions about a payment:

  1. Contact our billing department at billing@academicresearchportal.com within 7 days of the transaction.
  2. Provide your transaction ID, date, amount, and detailed explanation.
  3. Our team will investigate and respond within 5 business days.
  4. If we determine an error occurred on our part, we may issue account credit (not cash refunds).

All disputes must be submitted in writing. Phone calls will not be accepted for dispute initiation.

8. Service Credits

In rare cases where we determine that a credit is warranted (such as duplicate payments), we may issue service credits that can be used for:

  • Future publication fees
  • Membership renewals
  • Additional services
  • Premium content access

Important: Service credits are non-transferable, have no cash value, and expire 12 months from issuance. Credits cannot be converted to cash refunds.

9. Frequently Asked Questions

What if my paper is rejected?
Publication fees cover the review process, not the outcome. Even if your paper is rejected, the fee is non-refundable as reviewers and editors have already dedicated time to evaluating your work.
Can I get a refund if I withdraw my paper?
No. Once you submit and pay, we immediately begin processing your submission. Withdrawal does not entitle you to a refund.
What if I accidentally paid twice?
If you accidentally make a duplicate payment, contact us immediately. We will investigate and may issue service credit for the duplicate amount, but cash refunds are not provided.
Do you offer refunds for memberships?
No. Membership fees are non-refundable, even if you don't use the membership benefits during the subscription period.
What about technical issues preventing submission?
If you experience technical issues preventing submission after payment, contact our support team immediately. We will work to resolve the issue or may offer service credit for a future submission.
